Overview
Marketplace Manager is a native iOS app that helps you create, manage, and share product listings for online marketplaces. Your privacy is important to us.
Subscription
Marketplace Manager offers an auto-renewing monthly subscription to access AI-powered features:
- Billing: Managed entirely through Apple App Store
- Payment: Processed by Apple (we never see or store your payment information)
- Cancellation: Cancel anytime through App Store settings (Settings → App Store → Subscriptions)
- Renewal: Automatically renews monthly unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal date
- Price: Displayed in the app and App Store product page
- Free Trial: May be offered (terms shown at purchase)
We do not collect, store, or process any payment information. All subscription management is handled by Apple.
Data Collection
Data Stored Locally
- Listings: Product titles, descriptions, prices, photos, marketplace posting status, and AI-generated tags
- Photos: Images captured or selected for listings (stored in app's Application Support directory)
- AI Content: Generated descriptions, tags, and pricing suggestions stored with listings
- App Logs: Rolling log file (max 200KB) for debugging purposes
All data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData and is not transmitted to our servers.
Data Shared with Third Parties
Camera & Photo Library Access
- Purpose: To capture or select photos for product listings
- Usage: Photos are stored locally and only shared when you explicitly use iOS Share Sheet to post to marketplaces
- Permissions: Requested via iOS system prompts (NSCameraUsageDescription, NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription)
Sentry (Bug Reporting)
- Purpose: Crash reporting and user-submitted bug/UX feedback
- Data Collected: Device information (iOS version, device model), App version and build number, User-submitted feedback text, Optional: App log file (if you enable "Include log file" when submitting feedback)
- Data NOT Collected: Personal identifiers, listing content, photos
- Provider: Sentry.io (https://sentry.io/privacy/)
- Control: You choose when to submit feedback via in-app feedback button
xAI API (Product Identification)
- Purpose: AI-powered product identification, smart descriptions, competitive pricing suggestions, and tag generation
- Data Sent: Photos and product details you explicitly submit for AI analysis
- Data NOT Sent: User profile, personal information, unrelated photos
- Provider: xAI (https://x.ai/)
- API Key: We use our own xAI API key (embedded in the app) to provide AI features to subscribers. This means AI requests are made on your behalf using our account.
- Control: Only triggered when you use AI features ("Identify Product", "Suggest Price", "Enhance Description", etc.)
- Subscription Required: AI features require an active subscription
- Generated Content: AI-generated descriptions and tags are stored locally with your listings
Data You Control
Sharing to Marketplaces
When you use the Share Sheet to post listings to Facebook Marketplace, Kijiji, or other platforms:
- You explicitly choose which data to share
- Data is sent directly from your device to the platform via iOS Share Sheet
- We do not store or transmit this data through our servers
Deleting Your Data
- Delete listings: Swipe to delete in the app
- Delete photos: Remove listings or manually delete from app's storage
- Delete all data: Uninstall the app (removes all local data)
Security
- All data stored locally using iOS secure storage (SwiftData)
- No cloud sync or remote servers (CloudKit support planned for future)
- Photos stored in app-sandboxed Application Support directory
- API keys stored securely using industry-standard obfuscation
- All network requests use HTTPS encryption
Children's Privacy
Marketplace Manager is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Changes will be reflected in the app and on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date.

Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data (stored locally on your device)
- Delete your data (uninstall app or delete individual items)
- Opt out of bug reporting (don't submit feedback)
- Revoke camera/photo permissions (iOS Settings → Marketplace Manager)
